Jon Joel

 

Jon is Senior Manager, Trade and Growth Programs, for the World Trade Centre in Toronto. The Toronto Region Board of Trade is North America’s oldest chamber of commerce, specializing in representing the interests of firms based in the Toronto region and facilitating connections between and among firms, professionals, and government entities.  Jon and his team work to take small and mid-market companies international or help them pivot to growth mode through education, connections, and facilitation of business partnerships. He leads the award-winning Trade Accelerator Program. 

 

Jon earned an undergraduate degree in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA in Global Business from Toronto Metropolitan University.

 

He and his wife Susan Nguyen live in Etobicoke, Ontario with their daughter Ava. He is a competitive chess player, likes to cook and eat great food, and play hockey and other sports.
